What is Whiplash?:

Whiplash occurs when you injure the soft tissue in your neck. It is usually caused when your head has been suddenly jolted forwards, which Doctors call hyperflexion, or backwards, which doctors call hyperextension. This makes your neck muscles extend very suddenly, causing muscle spasm so that you can't move your neck properly.
